I have been working for the YMCA for 19 years, fulfilling 3 different roles in 2 departments. In the past 11 years I have worked in the nursery for just over 6 years as supervisor in the toddler room. I am now the Manager. I have achieved a lot during the years and I am very grateful for the support and opportunities the YMCA has given me. I have qualified in several courses, Level 2/3 NVQ in Childcare, Learning and Development, I graduated in 2018 and achieved a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social care and Children Young People’s Services and Children and Young People’s Advanced Practice. I am the nursery’s SENCO, Behaviour Coordinator, Fire Warden and also part of the Health and Wellbeing Committee. I am willing to participate in any of the organization’s opportunities when I can.

I am loyal and strongly believe in the YMCA’s vision and values. I would like to make chances for others, to help benefit their lives. I like to lead and model by example so others can follow. I like to inspire the staff to achieve their goals professionally and developmentally to make the nursery the best it has ever been. If I was to give advice to my younger self I would say take opportunities that challenge you, you will not regret it!
